Every dark cloud has its silver lining, we found ours at the sabah hospital in Kuwait. The week prior to that day was a roller coaster in progress providing us with our own share of fears, thrills, anticipation and anxiety. We weren't quite sure what to expect, just when we thought we were on a high the air below our feet would be swept away and we would be sent spiraling downhill, but somehow we had faith that we would weather the storm and get through all of this a little scarred and mighty grateful.
We walked into the "Special Care Unit" & were directed to a room at the end of the hall. As i sanitized my hands and put on the protective clothing, i had never looked forward to anything as much as this moment. We went past the first 5 incubators and at every incubator i would look at my wife, words unsaid for some sign in the affirmative. The sixth incubator which i had seen from a distance was our son and he had a glow around him like a "little flame", i knew he was the one and it was confirmed when i glanced at the sticker which had his mother's name written at the bottom left corner. He was adorable and the first thought that came to my mind was "I would love him with all my heart for the rest of life".I glanced across to my wife Reem and said he looks like an "Ayden" lets name him that.
I had fallen in "Love" and it was "LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT"

Thank You! Come Again

Ive been thinking about blogging for a while now, but really didn't come up with a concept good enough. Using words to describe a feeling or a situation is not my cup of tea, I'm not very good with words and whenever i voice my opinion im always misunderstood. So i'll try and keep my words to a minimum, accompanied by my faithful Canon & Camera phone will try and make this blog an interesting one.
Why have i ventured into the unknown of blogging?
It's simple, On 11th August 2009 i was blessed with a beautiful son "Ayden Gerard Alphonso" and i would like to document all our adventures along the way as a family and since i firmly believe in the proverb " A picture is worth a thousand words" im gonna play my part to ensure our memories are as visual as possible.
